Future study is very much like the work of an Historian. Historians look for facts and clues to what life would have been like in ages past and as they find those clues they modify their view of that age. Our work as Futurists leads us to examine evidence of what the future might be like and as we determine the reliability of those clues we modify our view of the future.
Of course that's simplistic but....
We've researched the past 100 years of recessions and depressions and found startling and exciting evidence of the opportunity these periods offer us. Did you know that Disney, Hyatt Hotels and Burger King, to name but three major corporations, were all born of severe recessions.
